crimes against nature
Let me open this page by first saying consumerism is itself a crime against nature.
This page illustrates autrocites committed by man against nature. This page documents how modern man lives for presevervation of an unsustainable, gluttonous life with complete disregard for any other organism but himself. This is a glimpse into environmental crimes committed in a average American city. These infractions are relatively minor but none the less relevant. All photos were taken within or around Lafayette, Louisiana. This is my courtroom and all judgements are final.
The rabbit in the center, right, was apparently killed (choked to death) while attempting to eat food waste enclosed in plastic near the barrel . Also in the trash barrel are hazardous waste items including paint and unidentiable industrial solvents. This picture was taken at a local recreational area.

Judgement: Man shall consume a small amount of plastic, paint, and cardboard with every meal for no less than 40 days and nights or until his spirit is purified. He shall feel the pain of the consequences to pollution as all other orgainisms must.
This picture is of a can of hazardous waste lying upside down and spilling its contents into the cemented stream. The black item center, left is the can, the red spot is the hazardous waste tag. This pic was taken 10ft from university property.
This was once a stream, full of rich aquatic life. Now it resembles the city its located in. An urban wasteland. The cement eliminates any infiltration, maintains a very high temperature and is a pollution sink.
This is the Vermilion River, or what is left of it. The mess in the upper right is trash accumulation. The parish must but up boons to collect the trash floating down the river before it reaches the homes of the "distinguished". The wealthy folks of this town do not want to see the trash float by thier mansions. Perhaps then they should fight the problem not the symptoms, unless of course they themselves are the problem. Also, notice the color of the water, this river before european arrival was clear, drinkable water. Now with the infusion of large scale agriculture (non-organic) and grazing the water is brown from sediment. This sediment chokes out aquatic life. Pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilzers are present in dangerous levels, the bottom in some spots is considered a toxic waste due to pesticide and herbicide build-up. The fecal coliform levels in the river are 733% above acceptable levels from cattle crap washing into the river.
Water gives man life, and this?

Vermilion River
Car battery I discovered in a stream that flows into the Vermilion River
This is (was?) a stream that flows into the Vermilion River. Look closely. There are more unnatural items in this scene than natural.
Judgement: Each member of this community shall baptize thier children in this river. Soon the significance of holy water will once again be known.
This is a can of "Great Stuff", found in a road ditch. The can in the plastic bag is paint. The great stuff is flammable, thus making it a hazardous waste. Not only will the can, as it deteriorates add iron oxides to the water, the remaining toxic material in the can will contaminate the ecosystem of the aquatic life in the road ditch fist, then into the Vermilion River. Great Stuff...
This is a berm structure surrounding an oil well. These berms are constructed to contain any oil that may spill. If there is a spill than the company must pump the spill material out and properly dispose of it. However, in this case the owner , who makes app. 3,300$ a month from the oil revenues of this well, decided to pump the spill material out of the berm via the small rubber hose you see. The material than traveled into a nearby stream which drains into the Vermilion River. You can see the dead zone in the upper left of the screen where the material flows. This man makes a very comfortable living of the fruits that this land provides him and how does he show his appreciation and respect?
There was another spill here that overflowed the berm recently and caused a very large dead zone. The day I was taking pictures for the 2nd spill an employee of this the owner was there, I approached him and asked what was going on, he replied the spill was absolutely not from this operation. Hmmm, I looked around and this is what surrounds that site for as far as I can see......
So, apparently the cattle are not only releasing methane gas, but petroleum as well.
Judgement: This owner shall bathe in the oil for 40 days and nights or until his spirit is purified. He shall wear the mark of his vice.
more coming very soon.......
